And I thought LOL was just an expression! I literally did that on this post. And a great point about credibility, too! Thanks.

I truly enjoyed this video and as is always the case, I enjoyed my standard Blue Moon in a frosty mug while viewing. I would actually recommend this practice to all of your viewers. Before you settle in to Allyn's latest video, pop a top and kick back.

Your last 2 videos inspired me to do my own video review yesterday afternoon. I'm usually behind the camera and not in front. I thought to myself that is really unfair to the ladies out there so yesterday I jumped in front and it's because of Blogger illustrated. LOL.

Since I do a lot of local community videos, I did a video review about a local lawnmower repair shop who recently repaired my riding mower. I was very happy with the service they provided me. I shot it in my front yard with my riding mower. I explained how happy I was with their service and took some high-def closeups of the engine etc...

My goal is two-fold. To notify my community about a local merchant who provides good service. My second goal is the hopes that this company and others will advertise on my site. To my knowledge, no one has ever done video reviews of businesses in my community.

Thanks Allyn for giving me direction and the ideas that you inspire here on this site.

@Eric
I use a sony HD mini cam and a Kodak ZI6 HD mini cam. I am still working out which is better. I don't post the vids all over. I am only posting them on highly targeted blog posts on my authority domains.
@Lawrence
best of luck getting settled in. THe Plains of the midwest are beautiful and in definite need of a local internet presence.
I use Viddler because it is reliable. Vimeo was running choppy for some people and I got a few complaints, HOwever, Vimeo has many options I like much better and now that I shoot vids in MP4, and am going to switch back soon

Howdy Allyn,

I think you are on to something there with your video blogging. I'm thinking video blogging might be just ticket for a local blog. I bet you have tried it and you can give me some feedback on that.

It is looking more and more like I will be coming to America sometime in the first half of this coming July. I have been thinking that a small, isolated, out on the midwest plains city, like I am going to for at least a short while, might be a good place to try my hand at a local blog.

About your video system: do you have a strong bias toward using viddler as opposed to Vimeo?

Cheers,

Lawrence
